Perfume is a female JPop and Electropop group consisting of three members from Hiroshima. The members, Kashiyuka, Nocchi, and A~chan debuted locally in 2001 when they were about 12 and nationally in 2005. Since 2003 Perfume have been produced by Yasutaka Nakata, founder of the group capsule and the contemode label. From 2005 until 2008, Perfume has released six major singles. In 2007, Perfume released “Polyrhythm”, which became their first top 10 entry in the Oricon charts. Since then Perfume has been breaking record after record with new singles. Their second album “GAME” was released on April 16, 2008 and debuted on the Oricon charts at number 1.
